Samir Faiddine is putting his flyweight title on the line against Luke Shanks at Cage Warriors 114.

The pair should have already met at CW 113 on March 20, but the COVID-19 pandemic forced the promotion to cancel the fight.

Faiddine (11-6) is currently riding a two-winning streak. The Frenchman halted a three-bout skid thanks to a unanimous decision victory over Adrianos Stokas at Cage Survivor 13 in April 2019. In the next match, the MMA Factory representative won the 125-pound belt after crushing Sam Creasey in the third round of their CW 106 encounter.

"Luke Shanks seems a complete fighter with a good punch," Faiddine said to "I love these kind of opponents, those who are willing to go to war. I believe we are going to deliver a good fight, and I'm super excited to face him. On my behalf, I'm not going to look for a decision.”

Shanks (6-1) claimed his title shot after overcoming three opponents in a row. First, he edged Jason Jenkins and Coner Hignett via decision at CW 97 and AFC 12, respectively. In his latest cage appearance, 'The Apocalypse' crushed Pietro Menga thanks to a third-round TKO victory at CW 107.

The European promotion also announced two other flyweight contests for the card. Bellator vet and former Extreme Fighting Championship champion Jake Hadley (5-0) will make his Cage Warriors debut against Shaj Haque (10-4). Haque has gathered a record of 6-1 under the Cage Warriors' banner. Additionally, Coner Hignett (8-5) takes on Adam Amarasinghe (5-2). Both men scored an impressive finish victory in their latest cage appearance at CW113 back in March.

CW 114 will go down behind closed doors at the BEC Arena in Manchester on Sept. 24. On the same card, Ciaran Mulholland will take on Jack Maguire in a bantamweight affair, and John Mitchell will meet Alan Brykalski in a 154-pound clash.
