Nurmagomedov is 13-1 as a pro and riding a seven-fight winning streak that includes a 2-0 mark in the UFC. Nurmagomedov beat Justin Scoggins by split-decision in his promotional debut and then followed that up with a first-round TKO win over Ricardo Ramos at UFC Fight Night 144 earlier this year. This will be the first time he fights at bantamweight in the UFC.
Barcelos, meanwhile, is 14-1 and on an eight-fight winning streak. The Brazilian is 3-0 in the UFC with a knockout win over Kurt Holobaugh, a submission win over Chris Gutierrez and a TKO win over Carlos Huachin at UFC 237. The 32-year-old former RFA featherweight champion also has notable wins over Dan Moret and Bobby Moffett on the regional scene.
UFC Fight Night 165 goes down on Dec. 21 and is headlined by a featherweight tilt between Brian Ortega and Chan Sung Jung.
