World Series of Fighting welterweight Ryan Ford has been handed a six-month suspension by the Edmonton Combative Sports Commission after failing to disclose a broken arm ahead of WSOF 14.
Sherdog.com confirmed the news with ECSC Executive Director Pat Reid on Wednesday following a report from MMAJunkie.com. The report states that Ford does not plan to appeal the suspension.
Ford revealed the injury in a video published after his first-round submission loss to Jake Shields at WSOF 14 on Oct. 11 in Edmonton, Alberta. In the video, Ford stated that he sustained the injury the week before the main event bout during a sparring session.
Ford, who previously fought for Bellator MMA, has only lost twice since 2010.
