It took less than a round for Joe McColgan (6-2-1) to pass the Robbie Scott test in the co-main event of the bill. McColgan pushed on the gas as soon as the contest started, hitting his opponent hard before taking him to the ground. After a short phase of scrambling, McColgan secured a slick brabo choke, which forced Scott to tap 1:27 into the opening period. It was his fourth career submission victory, and the Fight Academy Ireland representative won three of his last five professional bouts.
Earlier, Irish up-and-coming fighter Ian Garry (3-0) submitted Matt Figlak via rear-naked choke at 3:41 of the opening stanza in a 170-pound contest. Elsewhere, John Mitchell (1-0) edged Eric Nolan via unanimous decision, and in the opening bout of the main card, Nathan Fletcher (2-0) submitted Ciaran Mulholland via rear-naked choke in their bantamweight encounter.
