The Ultimate Fighting Championship just can't seem to make up its mind about the flyweight division.

According to a report from MMA Uno, the UFC has brought back Brandon Moreno (15-5). The report also states that "The Assassin Baby" is expected to return at UFC Mexico this September, and he will be making his return at flyweight. His opponent is reported to be Askar Askarov (10-0), who was also signed by the promotion.

Moreno first competed in the UFC in 2016, where "The Ultimate Fighter: Tournament of Champions" cast member burst on to the scene by winning his first three over the likes of Louis Smolka and Dustin Ortiz. After those wins, the next two against Sergio Pettis and Alexandre Pantoja did not go his way, as he dropped by both by decision and was released. From there, the Mexican joined Legacy Fighting Alliance, and knocked out Maikel Perez at LFA 69 to become the flyweight champion and presumably punch his ticket back to the Octagon.

Former Absolute Championship Berkut flyweight champ Askarov has never lost as a professional, and he has finished all ten of his opponents before the final bell. In 2017, he performed a rare Twister submission to defend his belt against former Bellator MMA fighter Anthony Leone.
