On the heels of Darko Stosic's withdrawal from the Ultimate Fighting Championship's debut in the Czech Republic, the promotion has signed Klidson Farias de Abreu to face Magomed Ankalaev.

Former World Fighting Championship Akhmat light heavyweight king Ankalaev rebounded off of a "Submission of the Year"-candidate loss to Paul Craig at UFC Fight Night 127 by knocking out Marcin Prachnio in the first round at UFC Fight Night 136 in September. Ankalaev earned a "Performance of the Night" bonus for that head kick knockout victory.
De Abreu will be making his UFC debut on about one month's notice, and the former Brave Combat Federation light heavyweight champ has moved up and down between heavyweight and light heavyweight throughout his career. Dropping back down to light heavyweight for this bout, he has never gone the distance in his 16-fight MMA career. De Abreu has finished his opponent in all 14 of his wins, including 10 by submission.
UFC Fight Night 145, also known as UFC on ESPN+ 3, will take place at the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic on February 23, 2019. Headlining the promotion’s debut event in Prague will be a light heavyweight battle between Jan Blachowicz and Thiago Santos.
