The eight-time UFC veteran will make her color commentary debut on April 4 for M-1 Global USA. According to a release, VanZant will work alongside play-by-play man Sean Wheelock for all M-1 Global events in the United States.

“I’m really excited for this opportunity to work as the color commentator for M-1 Global - USA on UFC Fight Pass,” VanZant said. “I’m extremely grateful for the opportunity to showcase my skills on the other side of the microphone.”

Road to M-1: USA 2 takes place at Pipa Event Center at Quechan Casino Resort in Winterhaven, Calif. The event will air on UFC Fight Pass at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT. The card is currently expected to include well-traveled veterans such as Dakota Cochrane, Travis Wiuff and Travis Fulton.

VanZant recently landed a spot in Sports Illustrated’s annual Swimsuit Issue. She has also appeared on “Dancing with the Stars,” where she won second place with partner Mark Ballas, and Food Network’s “Chopped,” where she bested several other sports stars in a cooking competition.

VanZant last fought at UFC Brooklyn, where she ended a two-bout skid with a second-round submission of Rachael Ostovich on Jan. 19. The 25-year-old is 5-3 during her tenure with the Las Vegas-based promotion.
