Ovince St. Preux vs. Ryan Spann Removed from UFC 247 Lineup

A proposed light heavyweight clash between Ovince St. Preux and Ryan Spann has been removed from the UFC 247 card.

Spann announced his exit from the event in an Instagram post on Tuesday, and that bout’s cancellation has since been confirmed by multiple outlets. St. Preux is not expected to remain on the card, either. A reason for the cancellation is currently unknown.

“Well I’m not doing UFC Houston Feb. 8 anymore my people,” Spann wrote. “I apologize. Working on something else but not official yet.”

UFC 247 takes place at the Toyota Center in Houston on Feb. 8 and is headlined by a light heavyweight championship bout between Jon Jones and Dominick Reyes. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on ESPN and ESPN+.
