Muay Thai Star Tiffany Van Soest Signs with Invicta FC, Glory

It looks like the rumors swirling around one of the world’s elite female muay Thai fighters turned out to be true. Tiffany Van Soest will not only continue to ply her trade as an upper-echelon kickboxer, but she’ll also venture into the MMA realm.

In a joint announcement on Thursday afternoon, Invicta FCand Glory revealed the signing of Van Soest. The two companies announced independent agreements with “Time Bomb” that will allow her to fight in MMA and kickboxing simultaneously.

Van Soest has already captured numerous titles in muay Thai. She has snatched up two championships in Lion Fight -- featherweight and super bantamweight -- as well as the WBC muay Thai International super bantamweight crown.

“I am beyond thrilled to have this incredible opportunity to not only sign with one, but two of combat sports’ top organizations,” said Van Soest. “Striking has always been my passion and my official MMA debut has been greatly anticipated, so to be able to compete in both is a dream come true and I could not be happier.”

Van Soest will first fight for Glory. It was announced that she’ll make her promotional debut in the Glory 30 Super Fight Series against Jeri Sitzes on May 13. Her debut for Glory will stream live on UFC Fight Pass.

“We're extremely excited to bring Tiffany on board at Glory. We are home to the best strikers in the world. Period,” stated Glory CEO Jon J Franklin. “Tiffany certainly fits that bill and this is a sign of things to come. She's a multi-sport competitor and we love the idea of keeping her tools as sharp as possible.”

Though an official announcement regarding Van Soest’s Invicta FC debut hasn’t been made, the organization believes it will likely take place over the summer.

“Tiffany is as good as they come in the muay Thai world and now she's testing herself as a complete martial artist against some of the top strawweights in MMA as well,” said Invicta FC President Shannon Knapp. “What's not to like? The fans win here.”
