Mickey Gall vs. Sam Touahri Added to UFC on ESPN 5 in Newark

A welterweight clash pitting Mickey Gall against Sam Touahri has been added to the UFC Newark lineup.

Promotion officials announced the bout on Tuesday. UFC Newark takes place at the Prudential Center on Aug. 3 and is headlined by a welterweight clash pitting Colby Covington against Robbie Lawler. The card will air on ESPN.

A native of Green Brook, N.J., Gall has lost two of his last three Octagon appearances. Most recently, he suffered a second-round TKO loss to Diego Sanchez at UFC 235 on March 2. The 27-year-old Miller Brothers MMA representative began his professional career with four straight triumphs — including three in the Octagon.

Touahri is winless in two promotional appearances, dropping a unanimous verdict to Warlley Alves at UFC Fight Night 118 and falling to Keita Nakamura via split decision at UFC Fight Night 142. “Grizzly” began his professional tenure with victories in 10 of his first 11 professional appearances on the regional circuit.
