A rising Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight prospect is quickly finding his way up his division.

ESPN announced on Friday that Darren Till (18-3-1) has suffered an injury and has been forced to withdraw from his headlining contest against Jack Hermansson (21-5). In his stead atop the Dec. 5 Fight Night card will be Kevin Holland (20-5). According to ESPN, Hermansson wanted to face a ranked opponent, but as others declined, Hermansson decided he would remain on the card and take on Holland.

“Trailblazer” is riding an impressive four-fight win streak but he is not yet ranked among the middleweight top 15. His victorious stretch began in May over Anthony Hernandez, and he most recently competed on Halloween when he slammed Charlie Ontiveros to force a stoppage. Holland tied Neil Magny for the quickest four wins picked up by any UFC fighter, notching all four within 169 days. He is looking to be the first fighter on the roster to record five victories in 2020.

Hermansson is looking to make it two in a row after heel hooking Kelvin Gastelum in July. The top-ranked contender suffered a setback when Jared Cannonier knocked him out in September 2019, snapping an impressive winning streak over the likes of Ronaldo Souza and David Branch to work his way to contention. “The Joker” sports a high finish rate of 81 percent, and he has stopped six of seven foes in victory dating back to 2017.

The UFC Fight Night card on Dec. 5 takes place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, and there is no current official co-main event bout announced. Other top bouts on the card include Ovince St. Preux vs. Jamahal Hill at light heavyweight, and a heavyweight rumble between Gian Villante and Jake Collier. Merab Dvalishvili hopes to remain on the billing, but his previous opponent of Cody Stamann fell out of their matchup.
