"I've been on the other side of the table from Invicta as a fighter and I could not be more excited to join this organization, " Young said in a release. "I have so much respect for Shannon and the goals she has for the company, each event, and every single athlete.
"I'm extremely anxious to dive right in and interact with some of these special athletes. If I can help guide them, help them achieve their dreams with Invicta, I'll consider that a success. Plus, who doesn't want to be responsible for making great fights? It's truly a dream job."
The co-matchmakers split a pair of bouts when both were still active fighters, with Young winning via split decision at Ultimate Women Challenge in September 2010 and Kedzie avenging that defeat in a five-round unanimous verdict at Jackson’s MMA Series 4 in April 2011.
Thank you @shanknapp for giving me the opportunity & flexibility to pursue further education & to @kaitlin_young for coming on board! #team
