Kai Kara-France will square off against Brandon Royval at an Ultimate Fighting Championship event on Sept. 26.
Royval confirmed the flyweight bout on social media following an initial report from MMAFighting.com. The UFC card does not have an official location or headliner but is also expected to include a women’s strawweight clash pitting Claudia Gadelha against Xiaonan Yan.
Kara-France has kicked off his promotional tenure with victories in four of his first five appearances. Most recently, the 27-year-old City Kickboxing representative earned a unanimous decision against Tyson Nam at UFC Fight Night 168 on Feb. 23. Kara-France is 21-8 with one no contest since beginning his pro career in 2010.
An eight-time Legacy Fighting Alliance veteran, Royval made his Octagon debut at UFC on ESPN 9, where he submitted Tim Elliott 3:18 into the second round of their bout. The Factory X product owns an 11-4 professional mark, with 10 victories coming inside the distance.
