Juan Adams Claims One Of Greg Hardy's Exes Reached Out, Wants Him To 'Beat His Ass'

Adams and Hardy will come face-to-face inside the Octagon on July 20 at UFC on ESPN 4 in Adams’ home state of Texas. Adams claims that although he wanted to fight the controversial ex-NFL star, he was surprised he got the opportunity so quickly especially coming off his recent loss against Arjan Singh Bhullar (via BloodyElbow.com).
“Honestly did not expect that Greg Hardy would ever want to fight me,” Adams said. “I figured it was just an easy target just to make fun of him, I didn’t think he was actually going to accept the fight. I didn’t think the UFC would give him the fight. I think they’re trying to protect him for a little while longer, but I especially didn’t expect to get this fight coming off of a loss.”
Adams claims he’ll have the added incentive to put a beating on Hardy, who has been loudly booed at every UFC appearance so far, as one of Hardy’s ex-girlfriends reached out to him to wish him well.
“I think, you know, people will thank me for getting him out of the UFC, one,” Adams began. “And two, every person in America wants me to beat Greg Hardy’s ass. You know it’s funny, one of his ex-girlfriends messaged me on Instagram saying she hopes I beat his ass. Nobody wants him to win this fight except for the delusional tip-riders. That’s it.”
UFC on ESPN 4 takes place Saturday, July 20 at AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas. It is scheduled to be headlined by the heavyweight tilt between Hardy and Adams, with the rebooked heavyweight matchup between Alexey Oleynik and Walt Harris currently set for the co-main event. The main card will be broadcast on ESPN, with prelims likely divided between ESPN and ESPN+.
