Alday’s original opponent, Andre Morera, was forced to withdraw from the bantamweight contest due to injury. The promotion confirmed the change on Wednesday. Alday vs. Sanchez will serve as the headliner for the card, which takes place at AVA Ampitheater and airs live in the United States on Univision and TUDN at 12 p.m. ET/9 p.m. PT.

The first champion in Combate Americas history, Alday has won four of his last five fights. Most recently, “El Pochito” outpointed Juan Pablo Gonzalez on June 7 at Combate Americas “Unbreakable.”

Sanchez went 1-4 during two separate stints with the UFC. The 28-year-old Jackson-Wink MMA representative has lost three of his last four bouts, including a first-round submission defeat at the hands of Brandon Royval at Legacy Fighting Alliance 65 on May 3.

One other change was announced for the main card, as Anthony Birchak will now meet Jose Luis Calvo at bantamweight after original foe Erik Aguilar Radleim was unable to compete due to visa issues.
