A matchup between mixed martial arts veterans Jason Knight and Charles Bennett will serve as the headliner for Jorge Masvidal’s first-ever bare knuckle MMA event.
The inaugural Gamebred Fighting Championship card takes place on June 18 in Biloxi, Miss., and is available via BKTVApp.com. Masvidal, a two-time UFC welterweight title challenger, announced his plans for the new promotion last month. Fights are expected to be contested under the Unified Rules of MMA, only with no gloves worn by the combatants.
Knight owns a 21-6 mark in MMA that includes a 4-5 stint in the UFC from 2015 to 2018. He has also competed twice under the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship banner.
“Felony” Bennett has 73 professional MMA bouts to his credit and has competed for organizations such as Pride Fighting Championships, Rizin Fighting Federation, EliteXC and King of the Cage over the course of a tenure that began in 1999. He is 0-3 under the BKFC banner and winless in his last 11 MMA bouts.
