Several Ultimate Fighting Championship fighters have received official sentences after failing drug tests.

Per ESPN on Thursday, the Nevada State Athletic Commission has handed down numerous suspensions for competitors that failed drug tests. Jamahal Hill appeared at UFC on ESPN 9 in May, and his first-round win over Klidson Abreu was overturned to a no contest after failing a post-fight drug test for marijuana. He has been fined 15 percent of his purse and given a suspension for six months retroactive to the date of the test.

Like Hill, Tim Elliott and Luis Pena also were flagged in their post-fight tests for marijuana. The substance is only banned in-competition, which means a fighter likely needs to abstain for 12 hours before the event and up to the post-fight drug test. The two men, who competed in May and June, respectively, both suffered losses while appearing on short notice. Due to these circumstances, the commission has elected to reduce their retroactive sentences to 4.5 months each and issue them both 15 percent fight purse fines.

In addition to the three that tested positive for marijuana, Deron Winn was given a nine-month suspension and a $1,800 fine for testing positive for amphetamines. Winn competed in March and was submitted by Gerald Meerschaert, to go on the first winless streak of his career.

At the same meeting from the NSAC, the commission made public a failed drug test for prospective UFC light heavyweight Jorge Gonzalez. On Aug. 5, the fighter known as “George St.” popped for multiple steroids including drostanolone and stanozolol. He is currently suspended temporarily pending a subsequent hearing. Gonzalez was booked multiple times to compete in July and August, but the matches against Kenneth Bergh and Isaac Villanueva fizzled.

Finally, Dana White's Contender Series competitor Ty Flores tested positive for turinabol after his match with Dustin Jacoby. Flores has also been temporarily suspended, and awaits a hearing in the future to decide his fate.
