Ian McCall Gets New UFC 208 Opponent in Octagon Debutante Jarred Brooks

Ian McCall has at least a temporary reprieve from his miserable streak of opponent luck.

Monday, the Ultimate Fighting Championship announced that McCall will now face Octagon newcomer Jarred Brooks at UFC 208 on Feb. 11 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The news comes a day after McCall's original opponent, Neil Seery, announced that he had pulled out of the bout due to the death of his mother-in-law.

McCall, 32, hasn't been able to step into the cage since his January 2015 decision loss to John Lineker. “Uncle Creepy” has seen a combination of injury, illness and personal circumstances nix bouts with Dustin Ortiz, Justin Scoggins, Ray Borg and now Neil Seery twice. In total, McCall has seen his last five bouts fall apart for a variety of reasons.

Warsaw, Ind.'s Brooks, 23, has put together a 12-0 pro record, last competing at 115 pounds in the Pancrase ring in October, knocking out Jun Nakamura in the second round.
