Four new bouts have been added to the growing UFC Fight Night 172 card on May 16.

First reported by Combate, the fights are as follows: Don’Tale Mayes vs. Rodrigo Nascimento Ferreira at heavyweight; Cortney Casey vs. Mara Romero Borella at flyweight and Giga Chikadze vs. Mike Davis at featherweight. Additionally, following a report from MMA Junkie on Wednesday, Nate Landwehr has confirmed his featherweight match against Darren Elkins on his Instagram.

UFC Fight Night 172 takes place at VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena and is headlined by a heavyweight tilt pitting Alistair Overeem against Walt Harris. The card is expected to air on ESPN and ESPN+.

After earning a promotional contract on Season 3 of Dana White’s Contender Series, Mayes suffered a third-round submission loss to Ciryl Gane in his Octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 162 last October. Ferreira will enter his first UFC foray with a 7-0 mark that includes a first-round tapout of Michal Martinek on the Contender Series last July.

Casey has lost three of her lost four in the Las Vegas-based promotion, including a unanimous decision setback against Cynthia Calvillo in her last outing at UFC on ESPN 1. Borella has also lost three of four and is coming off a decision defeat to Montana De La Rosa at UFC Fight Night 167 in February.

Chikadze enters his bout on a four-fight winning streak that includes triumphs over Jamall Emmers and Brandon Davis in UFC competition. Davis, meanwhile, earned his first Octagon victory with a third-round knockout of Thomas Gifford at UFC Fight Night 161 last October.

Elkins has dropped three in a row dating back to July 2018, including a pair of decision losses to Ryan Hall and Alexander Volkanovski that bookend a third-round knockout defeat to Ricardo Lamas. This losing streak the longest of his career, Elkins had never before dropped consecutive bouts before this drought. Against him will be Landwehr, who saw his UFC debut go up in smoke when Herbert Burns separated him from his consciousness with a knee in January. The loss by knockout the first in the career of "The Train," it also snapped a seven-fight win streak in the process.
