Eric Spicely’s bank account was hurting heading into UFC Greenville. After putting on an entertaining performance in a loss to Deron Winn, “Zebrinha” has a little more financial breathing room.

Spicely accepted the middleweight bout on short notice – and apparently for good reason.
“My bank account was [$-230],” Spicely wrote on Twitter. “I’m f—king juiced right now.”

Winn set a UFC middleweight record with 169 significant strikes landed in victory. Spicely, meanwhile, landed 108, including several solid clinch knees that rattled his opponent. Spicely, a CES MMA veteran, returned to the Octagon on Saturday after going 2-4 during a previous UFC stint.
