Darko Stosic Out of UFC Fight Night Prague Bout Against Magomed Ankalaev
UFC light heavyweight Darko
Stosic is out of his scheduled tilt at UFC
Fight Night Prague.
The Serbian fighter should have faced the 26-year-old out of Dagestan, Magomed Ankalaev, who is now looking for a new opponent. The MMA Red Star representative posted the news on his social media on Tuesday morning.
The 26-year-old fighter from Belgrade revealed that he had some
health problems during his training sessions regarding his
pectoralis major. He tried his best to heal from the injury, but
the only way to fully recover is to take a break from his training
sessions. In the end, Stosic expressed a desire to meet Ankalaev in
the future.
Stosic made his first UFC foray by stopping Jeremy Kimball via TKO in the first stanza of their UFC Fight Night 134 encounter on July 22. He is currently on a nine-bout winning streak in his 13-1 career.
UFC Fight Night 145 ? also known as UFC on ESPN+ 3 ? will go down on Feb. 23, at the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic. The event is headlined by a light heavyweight showdown between Thiago Santos and Jan Blachowicz.
