Dana White Says UFC Fight Pass Will Get ‘Relaunch’ in Fall

While the ESPN+ streaming service seems to have garnered most of the attention since the Ultimate Fighting Championship announced its partnership with the Worldwide Leader, UFC Fight Pass isn’t going anywhere.

During a media scrum prior to the Contender Series Season 3 debut, UFC president Dana White revealed that the promotion’s original streaming platform will be undergoing a makeover later this year.

“UFC Fight Pass is going to be the absolute destination for fight fans,” White said. “If you’re a fight fan, it’s an absolute no-brainer you gotta have it. We’re working on tons of original programming right now. And obviously it’s gonna take us time to get this thing going. We’re going to relaunch this thing in the fall. Once we relaunch we’re gonna start banging [content] out. Daily.”

The Fight Pass relaunch comes in conjunction with the opening of the UFC Apex facility, which has built-in production capabilities. That includes the possibility of more fight cards in addition to the Contender Series, which will hold the entirety of its schedule at the venue.

“We can put on smaller shows here and those shows will be streamed live throughout the world,” White said.

White didn’t go into specifics regarding details of the Fight Pass relaunch, but it’s clear the UFC boss is excited about what the future holds for the platform.

“When you see some of the stuff that we’re working on right now….we haven’t even scratched the surface,” White said. “Part of the fun for me is continuing to grow this business and taking it to new levels.”
