Cristiane ‘Cyborg’ Justino Blasts ‘Ridiculous’ Ronda Rousey Title Shot

Cristiane Justino is not happy that Ronda Rousey will receive an immediate title shot at UFC 207 following more than a year-long hiatus.

UFC President Dana White announced on Wednesday that Rousey will face reigning 135-pound queen Amanda Nunes on Dec. 30 in Las Vegas. According to White, if Rousey beats Nunes, a future showdown with “Cyborg” will “definitely” happen.

The Brazilian isn’t taking White at his word, however, and the Invicta FC champion criticized the booking in a lengthy post on her IInstagram account:

I have just come to Thailand for my first International PinkBelt training for women [to] be held in the gym @phukettopteam, and it seems that is being advertised on the internet [that] Ronda Rousey vs. Amanda Nunes [will be for the] title December 31.

And [it is]ridiculous Ronda gets the first title shot after being beaten by [Holly Holm] and after this wonderful fight, took a year of vacation [from the] Octagon. It will only support the story that she was created by the media. More than any fighter ever, Ronda [has] benefited from the company's brand. She benefited from the best interviews, the best sponsors, and the best deals of struggle and spotlight, but even with all this marketing budget behind it, everyone has seen that [she] is not the best.

There is a reason Ronda is not coming back to Holly Holm. That reason is not the fact that Holly was 0-2 since their fight. The reason is that even Ronda recognizes that Holly's [the better] fighter. Styles make fights, and that is the same reason Ronda will never accept a fight against me. She knows my punches, size and aggressiveness.

I just went to 140lbs (63kgs) in an attempt to make the fight against Ronda Rousey possible. This year, I put aside my [weight class] for super fights. Unlike Conor McGregor my "super fights" were not against [big-name] opponents, and like Jose Aldo, fighters in my division such as Megan Anderson, Cindy Dandois, Julia Budd and Alexis Dufresene are ready to fight for the belt. I cannot force someone to accept a fight against me. Ronda can continue using her excuses about steroids, but I have proven all the contrary. I was the only athlete, who more than a year before debuting in the UFC, I agreed to be tested by USADA.

Ronda never fought to win his UFC belt, she received the belt in a press conference and in her first defense, she did not even face the No. 1 contender....

Justino’s last two bouts have come at 140 pounds in the UFC. While she has struggled to make weight, “Cyborg” has been dominant on fight night, dominant stoppage triumphs against Lina Lansberg and Leslie Smith.
