Cris Cyborg on Rousey: ‘I Watched Her Do Shadow Box and the Shadow Won’
While UFC President Dana White recently claimed that Ronda Rousey wants the long-discussed super fight with Cristiane Justino, “Cyborg” herself remains skeptical.

"Ronda doesn't say anything," Cyborg said on Fox Sports 1’s “Speak for Yourself” with Jason Whitlock. "She doesn't even say my name. She used Dana White and her mother to talk to me, because she knows if she says my name, she'll have to fight me. She knows this.”
Cyborg is well established as the most feared woman in MMA, and she
lived up her reputation as the headliner of UFC Fight Night 95 in
Sao Paulo on Sept. 24, when she dominated Lina
Lansberg en route to a second-round TKO. Rousey, meanwhile,
hasn’t competed since getting knocked out by a Holly Holm
head kick at UFC 193 last November. After the defeat, Rousey
famously lamented that it could be “three to six months before I
can eat an apple, let alone take an impact.”
Justino forecasts even greater damage for Rousey should they meet in the Octagon.
"My last fight, I broke the nose of the girl in three places," she said. "Sure, if I fight her she'll have to do surgery on her face after. I'm not kidding.”
Rousey was completely dominant before losing to Holm, as she won her first 12 professional fights — all but one inside of a round. Her penchant for quick finishes led White to compare the then bantamweight queen to boxing knockout artist Mike Tyson. However, Rousey’s preferred method of victory — the armbar — is quite different than the power punching Tyson once used to overwhelm foes. Cyborg only sees one way in which those comparisons would work.
"I watched her do shadow box and the shadow won,"she said. "Maybe that means when Mike Tyson lose his fight by KO, he never the same. Maybe it means that Ronda lost her last fight and she's never the same. But not because she KOs people. She never did this."
