‘Cowboy’ Oliveira to Face Tim Means at UFC 207
The Ultimate Fighting Championship officially announced on Tuesday afternoon that Tim Means will lock horns with Alex Oliveira on the quickly-expanding UFC 207 card at the end of the year, this after the Albuquerque Journal first reported the matchup.
After he lost to Matt Brown via guillotine choke at UFC 189, Means rebounded with two consecutive knockout wins. “The Dirty Bird” iced John Howard 21 ticks into the second at UFC Fight Night 80 and then in August at UFC 202, the Fit NHB fighter knocked out Sabah Homasi. Means has won six of seven overall and is only a few wins away from potentially positioning himself in the thick of title contention.

UFC 207 will go down on Dec. 30 at the new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas and will be headlined by the women’s bantamweight championship between reigning 135-pound queen Amanda Nunes and former champ Ronda Rousey. The card’s initial prelims will be streamed live on UFC Fight Pass, followed by the rest of the preliminary card on Fox Sports 1. And per the norm, the meaty main card will be available live on pay-per-view.
Also slated for the event will be Homasi against Brandon Thatch while Alex Garcia will take on Mike Pyle.
