Dana White’s Contender Series alum Peter Barrett will make his first Octagon foray against Danny Henry at UFC Lincoln on April 25.

Both and The Scrap confirmed that the featherweight contest is currently in the works. UFC Fight Night 173 takes place at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln, Neb., and is headlined by a light heavyweight showdown between Anthony Smith and Glover Teixeira. The card will stream on ESPN+.

Barrett secured a UFC deal with a decision triumph over Sang Hoon Yoo on Season 3 of the Contender Series this past August. Barrett has spent most of his career competing under the Cage Titans Fighting Championship banner, where he was once the organization’s champion.

Scotland’s Henry kicked off his promotional tenure with back-to-back victories over Daniel Teymur and Hakeem Dawodu before falling to Dan Ige via first-round submission in his third Octagon appearance at UFC Fight Night 147 last March. “The Hatchet” is 12-3 over the course of his career, with all but two of those wins coming inside the distance.
