It appears that Conor McGregor is willing to back off on his original demand of a fight before the close of 2020.

“I accept, Jan 23rd is on!” McGregor wrote on Twitter. “My goal is to see this fight take place in Cowboy stadium. Proper Style! [Cowboys owner] Jerry Jones is a friend and the stadium can hold our crowd. I will be ready for Texas and Texas will be ready for my fans! Then Manny.”

My goal is to see this fight take place in Cowboy stadium. Proper Style! Jerry Jones is a friend and the stadium can hold our crowd. I will be ready for Texas and Texas will be ready for my fans!
Then Manny. #McGregorSportsandEntertainment
The last part of the message indicates that McGregor is still targeting a boxing match with Manny Pacquiao at some point in the future. McGregor initially proposed a charity exhibition fight with Poirier in Ireland before the UFC responded with its offer.
McGregor defeated Poirier by first-round TKO in a featherweight contest at UFC 178 in September 2014. The SBG Ireland representative last appeared at UFC 246, where he stopped Donald Cerrone in 40 seconds on Jan. 18.
