The ordering process for Ultimate Fighting Championship pay-per-views has changed: UFC 246 is only available on ESPN+ in the U.S.

As Conor McGregor’s UFC return draws near, two separate allegations of sexual assault continue to loom over the Irish superstar.

During his time away from the cage, McGregor has had his share of troubles, including incidents where he stole a fan’s cell phone and stomped on it and another where he punched an elderly man in an Irish pub. Both of those incidents were captured on video, and McGregor has gone through the proper channels in the legal system to deal with the consequences of his actions.

However, two investigations for sexual assault in Ireland are still ongoing as McGregor prepares to square off against Donald Cerrone in the UFC 246 headliner on Saturday at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. McGregor was first accused of allegedly raping a woman at a Dublin hotel in December 2018, and then a second accusation of sexual assault surfaced — this time outside a Dublin pub — against the fighter in October 2019.

While McGregor’s representative’s have denied the allegations on his behalf, the Irishman addressed them himself for the first time during a recent interview with ESPN.

“I can’t say anything about this. It just has to take place, right?” he said. “Time. Patience is a skill we must master. Patience is one of the most valuable skills a human being must master. I am working hard to master it, and I feel I am getting there. Time will show all. That’s it right now. I’m focused on the belt. I’m focused on positivity, good thoughts.

“I will say a prayer for those who try and cross me and bring harm to me with these type of things and that’s it.”

When pressed further, McGregor denied both accusations outright.

“Yes, of course [I deny them]. Of course. Seriously,” he said. “Time, please. Time will reveal all. That’s it.” Advertisement
