Oliveira and Beneil
Dariush is in the works for an Ultimate Fighting Championship
event on Oct. 3.
Multiple outlets confirmed the booking following an initial report
AgFight. The event is likely to take place at Yas Island in Abu
Dhabi and also includes a women’s bantamweight tilt pitting
Germaine de Randamie against Julianna
Oliveira is one of the hottest fighters in the 155-pound division.
The 30-year-old Brazilian is currently on a seven-bout winning
streak in which he has finished all of his opponents by knockout,
technical knockout or submission. The promotion’s all-time
submission leader is coming off a guillotine-choke triumph over
Lee at UFC Fight Night 170 on March 14.
Dariush, meanwhile, has been victorious in his last five Octagon
appearances — with all but one of those triumphs coming inside the
distance. Most recently, the Kings MMA product scored a spectacular
spinning backfist KO of Scott
Holtzman at UFC Fight Night 174 on Aug. 8.
