Cage Warriors 113 Relocates from London to Manchester, Adds Stewart vs. Fabinski

Cage Warriors 113 is moving a little more than 200 miles to the north.

The European promotion revealed Monday that it has relocated Friday’s event from London to Manchester after the London Indigo at the O2 announced that it would be closed until further notice due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Cage Warriors 113 will now take place at the Manchester BEC Arena, and as previously announced, will be held behind closed doors. The card features a trio of championship fights and will stream on UFC Fight Pass beginning at 1 p.m. ET.

Additionally, the promotion has added two more fighters who were originally scheduled to compete at the now-postponed UFC London event, as Darren Stewart will square off against Bartosz Fabinski in a middleweight clash.

Stewart and Fabinski were supposed to compete at UFC London — but against different opponents. Stewart was slated to face Marvin Vettori, while Fabinski was booked to meet Shavkat Rakhmonov, but travel restrictions would not allow those original matchups to take place at Cage Warriors 113. Fabinski will be moving up from welterweight to middleweight for the bout.

Stewart vs. Fabinski will be contested as a UFC bout under the Cage Warriors banner, as will any additional canceled bouts from the Las Vegas-based promotion that are added to the event. The UFC recently postponed its next three events indefinitely and will not attempt to hold a fight card until April 18, which is the intended date for UFC 249.
