Brendan Schaub: Ex-NFL Star Tim Tebow Could’ve Been UFC Heavyweight Champ
Brendan Schaub recently appeared on TMZ Sports, and the retired MMA veteran claimed that former Heisman trophy winner and NFL star Tim Tebow could have been the UFC’s heavyweight champion.

“If Tim decided when he was younger to pursue the UFC, he'd be the heavyweight champion of the world,” Schaub said. “His skillset and his mindset, I don’t know anyone -- and this is including the UFC -- that has a tougher mindset than Tim Tebow.”
Schaub revealed that he has grappled with Tebow, who has since shifted his dreams from NFL quarterback to Major League Baseball player, but was coy regarding the outcome and how well Tebow did.
Tebow is only 29 years old and if his quest of making it to the big leagues falls through, maybe the former Florida Gator can give it a run at fighting. The UFC has a history of signing big names to compete in the Octagon, like former world champion boxer James Toney and former WWE superstars CM Punk and Brock Lesnar.
