One of the more intriguing matchups ahead of the Ultimate Fighting Championship pay-per-view card this weekend has been pulled after a scary incident.

Shortly after the UFC 258 weigh-in ceremony, Bobby Green, who made weight ahead of his match with Jim Miller, passed out backstage. UFC President Dana White announced this unfortunate situation in a media scrum on Friday. White explained that doctors were examining the lightweight. After the review, per ESPN, the bout was removed from the card.

Bobby Green just collapsed back there,” White explained. “Doctors are looking at him. They’re trying to rehydrate him right now.”

While White stated that the medical staff was looking to rehydrate Green, he was not certain to tie it to Green’s weight cut. Green was the final fighter to step on the scale on Friday, and he hit the lightweight cap of 156 pounds. Due to the removal of Green-Miller, the featherweight scrap between Ricky Simon and Brian Kelleher has been placed on the main card.

Green was looking to rebound from a controversial loss to Thiago Moises that ended his longest win streak since 2014. Prior to the defeat against Moises, “King” rattled off a trio of decision victories over Clay Guida, Lando Vannata and Alan Patrick. In each of his last nine bouts, Green has left his fight in the hands of the judges, with a flat .500 record with four wins, four losses and a draw.

Miller has alternated wins and losses in each of his last four appearances, with first-round submission triumphs over Guida and Roosevelt Roberts interspersed with decision setbacks to Scott Holtzman and Vinc Pichel. Miller was looking to set the record for the most fights in UFC history with 37, but he will now have to wait. Additionally, Miller is two wins shy of the all-time UFC record held by Donald Cerrone (23).

UFC 258 will still carry on at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Feb. 13. The main attraction sees a major welterweight championship affair as Kamaru Usman looks to keep his iron grip on the gold against Gilbert Burns. Drawing the co-main assignment is a flyweight matchup as Maycee Barber tries to bounce back from her first career setback against Alexa Grasso.
