Bellator MMA is set to begin its European Series, starting with Bellator “Newcastle” headlined by Patricky Freire and Ryan Scope on Saturday.

Freire hit the scales at 156 pounds, as he prepares to face former BAMMA lightweight champion Scope (155) in the Bellator Newcastle main event Saturday at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle in Tyne, England. Co-headlining the event will be a lightweight matchup between highly-touted reality show star-turned prospect Aaron Chalmers (156) and Corey Browning (155.5) -- all of whom made weight without issue at Friday's official weigh-in.

“Pitbull vs. Scope,” which airs live on the Bellator App for American fans and Channel 5 for those in the U.K. at 3 p.m. ET/12 p.m. PT/6 p.m. GMT, also features a lightweight matchup between Terry Brazier (156) and Chris Bungard (156). Rounding out the main card will be a middleweight clash pitting Fabian Edwards (186) against Lee Chadwick (*187.5). Chadwick came in 1.5 pounds heavy for his middleweight bout, and he has been fined 20 percent of his purse. Also, the bout between Dominique Wooding and Bailey Gilbert has been scratched as Gilbert did not make it to the weigh-ins.
