Sherdog.com confirmed the news with a promotion official following an initial report from MMAjunkie.com. A date for Voelker’s debut is currently unknown, but the fighter did tell MMAjunkie that he is targeting July for his first Bellator bout.

Voelker has compiled a 31-13 record dating back to his professional debut in 2006. His tenure includes stints with both Strikeforce and the UFC. “Vicious” went 4-1 in Strikeforce but was winless in four UFC bouts after squaring off against the likes of Robbie Lawler and Patrick Cote during his stint.

More recently, Voelker has won seven of his last eight fights while competing exclusively for the Shamrock FC organization. The 39-year-old has earned 25 of his 31 career triumphs by way of knockout or technical knockout.
