Bellator 234 Weigh-in Results: Kharitonov, Vassell Cleared for Heavyweight Headliner
The Bellator 234 heavyweight headliner is official, as both
Sergei
Kharitonov and Linton
Vassell made weight without issue on Wednesday.
Kharitonov checked in at 238.6 pounds, while Vassell tipped the scales at 260.2 pounds. Vassell, a former light heavyweight title challenger, weighed 246.7 pounds for his heavyweight debut at Bellator 218 this past March.
Bellator 234 takes place at Menora Mivtachim Arena in Tel Aviv,
Israel on Thursday, but the main card airs via tape delay in the
United States on Paramount Network and Dazn at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT.

Kharitonov is unbeaten in his last eight professional appearances, a stretch that does include two bouts that ended via non contest. Most recently, the 39-year-old Russian scored a second-round technical knockout of Matt Mitrione at Bellator 225 on Aug. 24.
Vassell, meanwhile, is currently on a three-fight losing streak under the Bellator MMA banner. The 36-year-old Englishman moved to heavyweight in his last outing at Bellator 218, where he dropped a unanimous verdict to Valentin Moldavsky.
