Justin Roswell vs. Joey Davis

Round 1

They touch gloves and we’re underway, with Davis landing a spinning back kick to the midsection. Roswell pushes his foe into the fence and is slammed on his back by Davis, who sets up in his opponent’s full guard. Davis lands some punches before passing to side control near the fence. He opens up a big gash near Roswell’s left eye with an elbow. Roswell is bleeding profusely now and Davis ratchets up the intensity, pummeling his man with a barrage of elbows. Referee David Bruce has seen enough and halts the catch-weight bout.

Arlene Blencowe vs. Sinead Kavanagh

Round 1

They trade early, with Kavanagh throwing one-twos and Blencowe firing off a lead hook. Kavanagh is holding her hands low, throwing straight punches down the middle. A long right hand from Kavanagh finds a home. Blencowe counters in an ensuing exchange. Blencowe is looking to land her right hand over the top of Kavanagh’s jab. A left hook for Blencowe connects in an exchange. Kavanagh jabs to the body and Blencowe comes over the top with a right hand again. Another right from Blencowe lands and Kavanagh appears to be bleeding slightly from her nose. Kavanagh answers with a combination. A competitive first round comes to an end. 10-9 Blencowe.

Round 2

A quick lead hook for Kavanagh connects in an initial exchange. both fighters remain content to exchange. Kavanagh is landing with superior volume early in the round as Blencowe attempts to counter. A right hand from Blencoe makes Kavanagh take a step back. Kavanagh goes to the body and eats a powerful counter right by Blencowe. A two punch combination lands for Blencowe, who then follows up with a left jab. Blencowe steps forward and lands a solid one-two as about one minute remains. A left hook and a straight right land for Blencowe, and Kavanagh shakes her head. The story remains the same as the round winds down, with Blencowe landing a couple more solid counter rights before the bell sounds. 10-9 Blencowe.

Round 3

Kavanagh takes the center of the cage as she has all fight and attempts to work her way inside. Blencowe, meanwhile, is content to counter. Kavanagh is trying to mix in the occasional leg kick, but it isn’t especially effective. Kavanagh continues to move forward, and she lands a decent right hand. Blencowe answers with a right hand of her own. Blencowe doubles up on her jab and lands one of them. A clean right hand from Blencowe lands on Kavanagh’s mug. Kavanagh’s face is wearing the damage from eating Blencowe’s right hands for three rounds. A left hook from Kavnanagh tags Blencowe right between the eyes with her back to the fence. Kavanagh gets wobbled in an ensuing exchange, but Blencowe doesn’t appear eager to capitalize. The combatants continue to exchange as time expires. 10-9 Kavanagh. 29-28 Blencowe.

Chris Honeycutt vs. Kevin Casey

Round 1

Honeycutt goes upstairs with a high kick but Casey blocks it. In an ensuing exchange, a Honeycutt kick catches Casey directly on the cup. After a brief respite, the action resumes. Honeycutt loses the distance and lands a takedown. Casey tries to secure a guillotine but he only has half guard and Honeycutt is free. Honeycutt is heavy on top, as he looks to create space to land ground-and-pound. Casey attempts to isolate Honeycutt’s left arm but the Dethrone Base Camp member frees himself. Honeycutt is still in top position with about 1:30 to go. He lands just enough offense to avoid a standup. Casey works his way back up with about a minute to go. Casey counters a Honeycutt body kick with a right hand over the top. Casey attacks near the fence with punches and gets double-legged to the canvas. Casey has an arm-in guillotine but the horn sounds. Honeycutt looks a little wobbly as he stands. 10-9 Honeycutt.

Round 2

Casey lands a big left hand over the top near the fence. Honeycutt closes the distance, ducks under a punch and secures a body lock, dragging Casey to the mat. Honeycutt rides his foe while landing short punches. Honeycutt is in half guard, then side control. He steps to full mount and begins teeing off with left and right hands. Casey attempts to sit up but has no answer for the assault, and Honeycutt has his fourth consecutive Bellator MMA triumph.

Colleen Schneider vs. Kate Jackson

Round 1

Schneider kicks Jackson’s lead leg hard as she switches stances repeatedly. Schneider connects with a left hand and they briefly tie up. Jackson is looking to land low kicks and oblique kicks to Schneider’s knee. Schneider maintains the range with a push kick to the gut. Schneider lands a kick to the body and then follows up with a knee as they briefly clinch. Schneider steps in with a hard kick to the body. Schneider counters Jackson’s forward movement with a spinning back kick to the body. Jackson sends Schneider to the canvas with a push kick and she follows her foe to the mat. Schneider’s knee appeared to pop out of place as she falls to the floor. Jackson goes to work from top position, and she attempts to frame an arm triangle but can’t pass guard before the end of the round. Schneider attempts to return to her corner but tumbles to the mat as she stands. Cageside doctors take a look at a clearly disappointed Schneider, who screams in pain when the knee is manipulated. This one is over.

Georgi Karakhanyan vs. Daniel Pineda

Round 1

Karakhanyan comes forward with a combo and Pineda grabs him and tosses him into the fence. They tie up, and Karakhanyan pushes Pineda into the cage. Pineda turns and lands an elbow as they break. They clinch again and Pineda drops and gets a takedown near the fence. Pineda sets up in Karakhanyan’s guard, but “Insane” is able to work his way up in relatively short order. Pineda takes his foe back down quickly and is back in Karakhanyan’s guard. Pineda ls landing short elbows and punches to the side of the head. Pineda is content to land offense from this position rather than attempting to pass Karakhanyan’s guard. Pineda lands a hard knee to the face as Karakhanyan stands. Pineda gets yet another takedown before the round ends. 10-9 Pineda.

Round 2

Pineda goes for a spinning kick up high but he’s a little too close to do serious damage. Karakhanyan lands an easy single leg but Pineda sweeps into top position. Pineda is back on top in his opponent’s full guard. Karakhanyan does his best to neutralize Pineda, but “The Pit” postures up and drops a hard elbow. That’s about it for offense from Pineda, however, and a standup is ordered. Pineda lands an uppercut to the body. A right hand from Karakhanyan lands clean but Pineda responds with a double-leg takedown. Karakhanyan is able to briefly sweep and create space, but Pineda dives right back into guard moments later. Pineda is bleeding from a cut near his eye now, which appears to be a product of a Karakhanyan axe kick from the bottom. Another standup is ordered moments later and Bryan Miner pauses the action so Pineda’s cut can be examined. Pineda is surprised, then furious, as the fight is halted as a result of the gash.

Noad Lahat vs. Henry Corrales

Round 1

Corrales opens up with a low kick. Lahat has a rear-waist lock and slams Corrales to the floor. Corrales fights hard to stand, but Lahat keeps the pressure on. Corals eventually gets up and they battle for position in the clinch before separating. Lahat thinks he’s been poked in the eye but referee David Bruce isn’t giving him a break. He seems to have recovered quickly. Corrales shoves Lahat to the mat after a kick, but he pops up right away. A lead leg kick lands for Lahat. A left hook and an uppercut connects for Corrales. Corrales lands a combination in close quarters and Lahat backs up. The featherweights continue to exchange as the bell sounds. 10-9 Lahat.

Round 2

Lahat secures a body lock and pushes Corrales into the fence. Corrales turns and they separate. Corrales lands a hard kick to Lahat’s lead leg. Lahat connects with a nice counter right, but a Corrales leg kick appears to sting “Neo.” Corrales nearly spins Lahat around with another low kick. Another leg kick from Corrales finds a home, and Lahat tries to entice his foe to come to the ground. Corrales isn’t having it. Corrales shrugs off a takedown and lands a right hand. Corrales continues to chop away at Lahat’s lead leg. A right hand from Lahat finds a home, and Corrales answers with another low kick. Corrales lands a right hand. Lahat briefly lands a takedown but he can’t keep Corrales down. Corrales swings heavy punches as the bell sounds. 10-9 Corrales.

Round 3

Corrales lands a left hook. They trade in close quarters and Corrales gets a takedown and winds up on top. Referee David Bruce doesn’t like what he sees from Corrales and orders a standup. Corrales blocks a head kick and then shrugs off a Lahat takedown try. Corrales lands a combination and Lahat backs up for a moment. “Neo” tries to pick u the pace with a little more than 2:00 remaining. Corrales ducks under a high kick and takes Lahat down. Lahat is trying to score with elbows from his back. Corrales isn’t throwing a lot of offense from top position. With less than a minute to go, a standup is ordered. Lahat appears exhausted, however. Corrales works the body and lands some uppercuts in close quarters as the bell sounds. 10-9 Corrales (29-28 Corrales).

Philipe Lins vs. Vadim Nemkov

Round 1

Nemkov starts out throwing leg kicks and punches upstairs. Nemkov lands a kick to the inside of Lins’ lead leg. Nemkov lands a right hand and Lins circles away. Nemkov goes to the body with a kick. Nemkov is the aggressor, pushing the tempo by mixing punches and kicks nicely. Nemkov punctuates a combination with a solid right hand. Moments later, Nemkov floors Lins with a right hand that sends his foe’s head snapping off the canvas. The Russian lands two more follow-up standing to ground punches before the contest is halted.

Talita Nogueira vs. Amanda Bell

Round 1

The combatants tie up early and Nogueira pushes her foe into the fence. The Brazilian has Bell in a front headlock now, and she lands a couple knees to the midsection. Bell turns her foe into the fence and lands a knee of her own. Nogueira trips Bell down to the canvas and works from half guard. Nogueira stands and lands a couple punches. The Brazilian moves to north-south position and then lands a couple hard punches to the body. Nogueira spins to Bell’s back and huntd for a rear-naked choke. She gets both hooks in and sneaks her right arm underneath Bell’s chin. Bell tries to stand but stumbles under the pressure of the choke and is forced to submit.

Ricky Rainey vs. Marc Stevens

Round 1

Stevens lands a low kick then circles away. Rainey is stalking his foe from the center of the cage, staying patient. Rainey continues to stalk but has yet to find the range. Stevens lands a right hand on his taller foe. Rainey narrowly misses a head kick and he ups his aggression with punching combinations as he attempts to cut off Stevens. Rainey flicks a high kick out and lands it effortlessly. Stevens lands a hard kick to the lead leg, and again circles away quickly. Rainey lands a push kick. Stevens catches a leg and takes Rainey down with about 45 seconds remaining. He lands in side control and lands some knees to the body. Stevens maintains top pressure as the round ends. 10-9 Stevens.

Round 2

Rainer moves in and lands a right hand. Stevens answers with a combination before shoving his opponent into the fence. Stevens lands a short right hand before separating. The lanky Rainey looks for an axe kick and Stevens catches it. He drops the leg and lands a left hand. Rainey answers and they trade near the fence before Stevens ties his man up. Stevens with a low kick to the inside. Rainey goes up high with a kick but Stevens defends. Stevens again lands a low kick and then easily sidesteps a spinning back kick by Rainey. Stevens blocks another high kick, then attacks the lead leg of his foe. Stevens is landing counter right hands in the pocket. He grabs Rainey’s leg and tries for a takedown, but Rainey maintains his balance. Stevens grinds his foe against the fence and drives for a takedown, but Rainey defends. They separate. Rainey pushes forward and lands a good combination followed by a knee. Stevens grabs a leg but eats some punches for his efforts. Stevens holds onto the leg, allowing Rainey to step into position for a rear-naked choke. He doesn’t get it, and Stevens scrambles into top position before the round ends. 10-9 Rainey.

Round 3

Rainey follows a push kick with a furious barrage of punches and knees near the fence. Rainey backs up and resets. He steps in with a knee and Stevens ties up and turns him into the fence. Stevens grabs a leg and lifts Rainey but can’t get him down. Rainey capitalizes, landing short punches to the head as he works to take his adversary’s back. Rainey has both hooks in now as he attacks with more ground and pound. Stevens is in serious trouble as Rainey looks to flatten him out. Rainey pounds away with short right hands as 2:00 remain. Rainey gets one arm on a rear-naked choke and then maintains mount as Stevens tries to turn into him. Rainey rides Stevens, landing short right hands and hammerfists as time ticks down. That’s the way the round ends, with Rainey in complete control. 10-8 Rainey (29-27 Rainey).

A.J. McKee vs. Blair Tugman

Round 1

McKee whips a front kick through Tugman’s guard that narrowly misses the mark. McKee is throwing a variety of kicks from the outside during a feeling-out process in the early going. Tugman marches forward for a takedown, and McKee sprawls on it nicely. McKee has a front headlock and could be angling for a submission. Tugman remains in a defensive shell and McKee throws a knee to the chest before breaking away. Tugman shoots from far away and eats a right hand counter. Tugman thinks he was poked in the eye but the ref didn’t see it. McKee lands a combination and takes Tugman down near the fence. Tugman attempts to fight his way up, and McKee places a couple hard knees to the body before he can stand. McKee lands a leg kick and easily dodges Tugman’s follow-up one-two. 10-9 McKee.

Round 2

McKee whips a spin kick to the body then goes upstairs with a high kick. McKee lands a right hand, then sidesteps and connects with a hard body kick. McKee rips a leg kick, and Tugman just looks like a target at this point. McKee misses on a spinning backfist and resets. Tugman doesn’t attempt to capitalize. McKee catches Tugman moving in with a short right hand. McKee stalks his foe and lands a hard body kick. Tugman defends an ensuing McKee takedown attempt, however. McKee is getting loose and lands a side kick to the body. McKee lands a long lead uppercut to stop Tugman in his tracks. McKee pushes forward behind a high kick and Tugman shoves his opponent into the cage as he looks for a single leg takedown. Tugman continues to doggedly pursue the takedown, but McKee remains upright. They trade strikes in close before the round ends. 10-9 McKee.

Round 3

Tugman walks into a body kick to begin the frame. Tugman is bleeding near his nose. McKee lands a long hook from the outside, then ties up Tugman near the cage. McKee lands a knee to the head then drops to look for a takedown. Tugman remains upright, and he turns McKee around. McKee lands a knee and several uppercuts to the body before they separate. McKee goes low for a takedown and Tugman sprawls near the fence. Tugman is bleeding more profusely now as he continues to defend against McKee. Tugman has a guillotine choke, but he doesn’t have McKee in full guard. McKee slips his head free and smothers Tugman near the fence. McKee is in half guard landing elbows with a minute to go in the fight. McKee continues to chip away with elbows on a bloodied Tugman. Tugman rolls for a kneebar but can’t get it before the round ends. 10-9 McKee (30-27 McKee).

Veta Arteaga vs. Bruna Ellen

Round 1

Arteaga pushes forward and Ellen counters with a hook. Arteaga is pressuring behind her punches but isn’t landing much early. Ellen lands a hard right hook, but Arteaga forces a tie-up against the fence. Ellen is able to break away and return to the center of the cage. Ellen lands a counter right hand in an exchange. Arteaga continues to pressure and they tie up near the fence. Ellen turns her foe and lands a right hand on the break. Ellen looks for a takedown of her own, but Arteaga defends. They trade knees against the fence before separating. Arteaga attacks the legs and then finds the range on her punches. Ellen gets a takedown with about 20 seconds remaining and she lands some ground-and-pound before the end of the period. 10-9 Ellen.

Round 2

Ellen counters Arteaga with a one-two. Arteaga remains diligent in her pursuit and forces a tie-up. Ellen lands a pair of short elbows in the clinch and grinds away on her foe. Arteaga remains struck against the fence, but she manages to land some knees. Ellen breaks the clinch and fires off a couple more short elbows. Arteaga rushes forward recklessly and is taken down by ellen. Ellen takes Arteaga’s back in a scramble, but Arteaga is able to turn into top position. Arteaga moves into side control and lands some short elbows from above. Arteaga keeps the top pressure on and lands some punches to the ribs. Arteaga is smothering Ellen while remaining busy with ground-and-pound. Ellen fishes for a heel hook in the final 10 seconds and Arteaga lands a hammerfist in response at the end of the frame. 10-9 Arteaga.

Round 3

Arteaga wades forward behind a barrage of punches to begin the round. Ellen throws a looping punch but appears to be dropped by an Arteaga counter. Ellen backs up and Arteaga presses her opponent into the fence. Arteaga lands a knee before Ellen is able to reverse the position. Action has slowed against the fence, with both women trading knees. Ellen just misses a huge elbow on the break. A straight right hand finds a home for Ellen. Arteaga continues to apply pressure while Ellen looks for a counter. Ellen lands a short left hand followed by a trip takedown with about 1:40 to go. Ellen sets up in her opponent’s guard, where she postures up to land some right hands. Ellen stands and Arteaga is able to return to her feet. Ellen lands a knee in close and then backs away. A right hook from Ellen lands behind a missed jumping knee. The combatants tie up as the bell sounds. 10-9 Ellen (29-28 Ellen).

Brennan Ward vs. Fernando Gonzalez

Round 1

Gonzalez fires a straight left and dodges a looping offering by Ward. Ward executes a head and arm throw after Gonzalez forces a tie up and now “Irish” is on top. Gonzalez creates some separation with his guard and he’s up. Ward pursues his opponent, swinging heavy punches. Gonzalez dips his head a throws an overhand left. Gonzalez briefly moves forward and lands a left to the body. Ward closes the distance and slams Gonzalez down. “The Menifee Maniac” sits near the fence and works his way back up. Gonzalez connects with a kick to the body followed by two straight lefts. Ward pressures with more punches. Ward goes to the body with a kick. Ward stays tight, throwing one-two combinations. Gonzalez circles back to the middle of the cage. A left hand slips through at the end of combination for Gonzalez and Ward shakes his head. Ward fires a jab before the bell. 10-9 Ward.

Round 2

Gonzalez steps in an lands a hook in close before circling away. Ward jabs forward and Gonzalez ties him up and lands an elbow over the top before breaking free. Gonzalez with a push kick to the midsection. Ward explodes and takes Gonzalez down against the cage. Gonzalez throws short punches from a seated position. Ward lands a combination as Gonzalez gets up. Ward closes the distance but Gonzalez lands an uppercut in close quarters and follows up with a body kick. Ward fires off three jabs in a row to keep his opponent at a distance. Gonzalez finds the range on a left hook. Ward still looks crisp, throwing and landing clean straight punches. Gonzalez is trying to up his volume with combinations, but Ward backs him off with a powerful one-two. Ward ducks under a Gonzalez punch and takes his foe down again with less than a minute to go. Ward lands a couple short punches on a seated Gonzalez at the end of the frame. 10-9 Ward.

Round 3

Ward begins the frame snapping his jab repeatedly. Gonzalez lands a leg kick and then moves in range with a combination. Ward continues to rely on his jab early in the frame. “Irish” changes levels for the takedown, ducking under a Gonzalez left hand. Gonzalez is ready, however, and he traps Ward in a guillotine in full guard. Ward attempts to pry himself free but it’s to no avail. He taps out moments later.

Andrey Koreshkov vs. Chidi Njokuani

Round 1

The welterweights trade leg kicks at the outset, but the rangy Njokuani’s offering lands harder. A jab from Koreshkov gets through, while Njokuani continues to attack the legs. Koreshkov shoots for a takedown after the Njokuani leg kick and he takes his man down near the fence. Njokuani powers his way to his feet. They separate and Koreshkov instantly lands a spinning back fist that catches Njokuani. Koreshkov lands a flying knee before taking Njokuani down again. The Russian fires away with several hard punches to the ribs before Njokuani stands. “Spartan” takes his foe right back down and unloads with right hands and elbows. Njokuani is simply covering up as Koreshkov continues to batter “Chidi Bang Bang.” Referee John McCarthy gives Njokuani eveyr opportunity to defend himself, but after nearly 20 unanswered blows, he mercifully waves off the bout.
