Kevin Ferguson Jr. will square off against Kaheem Murray in a 160-pound catchweight affair at Bellator 241.
Promotion officials initially confirmed the bout to MMAjunkie.com. Bellator 241 takes place at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., on March 13 and is headlined by a featherweight grand prix contest between reigning champion Patricio Freire and Pedro Carvalho. “Baby Slice” vs. Kaheem Murray will stream on the preliminary card.
The son of the late Kimbo Slice, Ferguson Jr., had a 38-second stoppage win against Craig Campbell at Bellator 232 overturned to a no contest due illegal elbows to the head of his opponent. The 27-year-old is 3-2 with one no contest over the course of his career, all of which has taken place under the Bellator banner.
Murray enters the matchup having lost two of his last three professional outings. The Philadelphia native has compiled a 3-3 career mark and has not gone the distance in any of his fights.
