MMAjunkie.com was first to report the matchup. Both fighters have verbally agreed to the bout, but contracts have not been signed and the Las Vegas-based promotion has not formally announced the pairing. A location and venue for the UFC Fight Night card have not been determined.
Ladd, 25, rebounded from her first career defeat at UFC on ESPN 7, where she stopped former Invicta FC titlist Yana Kunitskaya via third-round technical knockout on Dec. 7. Ladd began her professional career with eight consecutive victories before falling to Germaine de Randamie in 16 seconds at UFC Fight Night 155 last July.
An Olympic silver medalist in freestyle wrestling, McMann returned to the Octagon after nearly two years away at UFC Fight Night 166, where she earned a unanimous verdict against Lina Lansberg on Jan. 25. McMann, who challenged for bantamweight gold in her second Octagon appearance, snapped a two-bout skid with the victory.
