The promotion announced the matchup on Tuesday. Additionally, ex-Legacy FC featherweight champion Steven Peterson will meet Angel Huerta in the evening’s co-main event. LFA 16 takes place at The Bomb Factory in Dallas and will be televised on AXS-TV at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

Maciel, meanwhile, owns a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and a brown belt in judo. The Manaus, Brazil, native is 6-1 as a pro, with three wins via submission and one by KO/TKO. Her lone defeat came against top UFC strawweight contender Claudia Gadelha in December 2009.

Three other bouts were announced for the LFA 16 main card: Johnny Bedford vs. Jimmy Flick at bantamweight; Damon Jackson vs. Eliazar Rodriguez at featherweight and Miles Johns vs. Levi Mowles at bantamweight.
