A bantamweight scrap between Andre Soukhamthath vs. Su Mudaerji has been announced for UFC Shenzhen. “The Asian Sensation” announced the bout on his Instagram account Tuesday.
Soukhamthath lost his last fight at UFC 236 by decision to Montel Jackson. The 30-year-old was looking to start a two-fight winning streak after beating Jonathan Martinez the fight prior. He is currently 2-4 in the UFC with his other win coming over Luke Sanders.
Mudaerji, like Soukhamthath, is also on a losing streak, as he has dropped last two, including his UFC debut. Back in November at UFC Beijing, he lost to Louis Smolka by submission in the second round. The 23-year-old is 9-3 as a pro, with all nine wins coming by stoppage.
UFC Shenzhen is set to go down on Aug. 31, and the card is headlined by a strawweight bout between Jessica Andrade and Weili Zhang. The main card will air on ESPN+.
