Alistair Overeem is returning to the kickboxing realm.

A champion in Strikeforce, Dream and K-1, “The Demolition Man” is coming off a second-round technical knockout loss to Alexander Volkov in the UFC Fight Night 184 headliner on Feb. 6. The 41-year-old Dutchman went 12-8 in UFC competition and challenged for the heavyweight title in September 2016, falling to Stipe Miocic via first-round knockout. Overall, the Elevation Fight Team representative is 47-19 with one no contest over the course of a professional MMA career that began in 1999.
In kickboxing, Overeem is 10-4, with notable wins over the likes of Badr Hari, Tyrone Spong and Gokhan Saki, to name a few. He hasn’t competed in the sport since winning the K-1 Grand Prix in December 2010.
