Advancing age and high mileage have not kept former Ultimate Fighting Championship welterweight titleholder Robbie Lawler from chasing one more moment in the sun.

Lawler will return from more than a year-long absence to battle Elevation Fight Team export Neil Magny in the UFC Fight Night 175 co-headliner on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. “Ruthless Robbie” enters the cage on a career-worst three-fight losing streak, having suffered consecutive defeats to Rafael dos Anjos, Ben Askren and Colby Covington. Magny, meanwhile, has posted back-to-back victories since his knockout loss to Santiago Ponzinibbio in November 2018. He was a semifinalist on Season 16 of “The Ultimate Fighter” reality series.

As Lawler and Magny prepare to butt heads in their co-feature, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:

33: Years of age for Magny, who was born on Aug. 3, 1987 in Brooklyn, New York.

16: Magny wins as a UFC welterweight—good for second on the promotion’s all-time list. Only Georges St. Pierre (19) has more.

13: Decision victories on the Magny ledger, accounting for 57 percent of his career total (23). In fact, “The Haitian Sensation” owns a remarkable 13-1 record in fights that reach the judges, a November 2013 unanimous decision defeat to Seth Baczynski the lone outlier.

114: Significant strikes landed by Magny in the second round of his of technical knockout of former Bellator MMA champion Hector Lombard at UFC Fight Night 85 on March 19, 2016. It remains the highest single-round total for a welterweight inside the Octagon.

9: Countries in which Magny has competed as a professional mixed martial artist. He has gone 16-3 in the United States, 1-2 in Brazil, 1-1 in Canada, 1-0 in New Zealand, 1-0 in the Philippines, 1-0 in Mexico, 1-0 in Australia, 1-0 in England and 0-1 in Argentina.

38: Years of age for Lawler, who was born in San Diego on March 20, 1982.

3: Sub-minute finishes on the Lawler resume, which now covers more than 19 years. He knocked out Landon Showalter in 14 seconds under the International Fighting Championship banner on June 15, 2001, cut down Joey Villasenor with a flying knee in 22 seconds at Pride Fighting Championships 32 on Oct. 21, 2006 and knocked out Matt Lindland in 50 seconds at Strikeforce “Henderson vs. Babalu 2” on Dec. 4, 2010.

1: Submission victory to Lawler’s credit. He tapped Jeremy Brown with an armbar 2:48 into the first round of their pairing at a King of the Cage event in 2005.

4: Lawler wins over former UFC, Bellator or World Extreme Cagefighting champions. He has beaten Rory MacDonald (twice), Johny Hendricks and Carlos Condit.

1,085: Significant strikes landed by Lawler as a UFC welterweight, most among active 170-pound fighters. Magny (1,045), Kamaru Usman (937), Matt Brown (892) and Tim Means (862) round out the Top 5. Advertisement
