ROY ENGLEBRECHT HAS A CHALLENGE: ARE YOU READY TO BE PART OF THE FUTURE OF COMBAT SPORTS?

(PRESS RELEASE) -- NEWPORT BEACH, CA, – January is the time for new beginnings and New Year’s resolutions, most of which are tossed to the wayside within weeks, if not days. But one of the fight game’s top promoters, Roy Englebrecht, is now looking to give an opportunity to an individual or company to not just talk about a new start and taking things to a new level, but to actually do something about it, as the Southern California combat sports pioneer is making the unprecedented move of going public with his desire to bring in a 50% or more partner.

“I’ve spent nearly 25 years as a fight promoter and I believe that I now have an entity in place and ready to take to the next level and join the ‘big guys.’ All I need is the right partner,” said Englebrecht.

One of the true innovators in fight promotion, Newport Beach’s Englebrecht first made his name with the “Battle in the Ballroom” series at the Irvine Marriott, which became the longest running pro boxing club show in the United States. After selling his company in 2001 to Oscar De La Hoya to help launch Golden Boy Promotions where he work for three years as its first COO, he reestablished his promotional company, and, in 2007, became one of the first boxing promoters to include mixed martial arts matches on his shows. Englebrecht also founded Fight Promoter University, which teaches the ins and outs of the fight business to aspiring promoters. But now Englebrecht wants to take things even further in 2014 and beyond.

“This is a wonderful opportunity for an investment partner to jump in and immediately allow us to become a mover and shaker in the fight business,” he said. “I have already spent the time and done the heavy lifting to get us to where we are at now.

What heavy lifting, you might ask? Here are just a few examples:

• Three years developing the hybrid Fight Club OC template that could be taken nationwide.

• Two years writing a business plan for the first legitimate and profitable Developmental League for combative sports.

• Four years refining the Fight Promoter University curriculum to take it national, as well as offering it online to the world.

• Three years getting top heavyweight prospect Alexander Flores to 14-0, and within 18 months putting him in a position to be ranked in the top ten in the world

• One year getting top MMA middleweight prospect Curtis Millender to 4-0

• Three years developing a 24/7 digital combative sports network, www.usafightnetwork.com and writing the treatments for 25 original programs that would air on the network, along with a library of nearly 300 fight shows REP has promoted over the years

• Two years writing and producing sizzle reels for two broadcast TV series that might be better than anything on the air now

• Five years growing and training a management staff that’s as strong as anyone else’s in the business….

• Working hard to generate nearly 1.1 million dollars in gross revenue every year for the past six.

That’s Roy Englebrecht. So are you ready to join him?

“As you can see, the groundwork has been laid,” he said. “With the right partner we can turn this $1.1 million a year business into a five million or more a year business, and to achieve this I would be willing to give up 50% or more of my company to make it happen. The way I see it, 50% of something is better than 100% of nothing.”
