Madrid (2-2) takes on Bakersfield bantamweight Marcel Cyprian (1-1) in a main event that was voted on by the fans on the 559 Fights Facebook page. Meanwhile, Espinoza, who is making his debut, takes on Visalia welterweight Nate Saliem (1-1).

“We had several hundred people vote online via our Facebook Fan Page to see who the fans wanted as their main event,” 559 Fights president Jeremy Luchau said. “I thought it was a fun way to get some more fans involved and help hype up an already stacked local card.”

This will be the fourth trip to Tulare for 559 Fights. “Some of our best shows have been at the Tulare County Fair venues. The fans in Tulare are some of the very best in the Valley and it’s a pleasure to come out and work for the people there,” Luchau added.

Tickets start at just $25 and can be purchased at www.559fights.com, the Tulare County Fair office and Visalia’s MMA Gear in the Sequoia Mall.

VIP Tables and Seating are also available, Email [email protected] for details.

Joining Madrid and Espinoza from the Kings Knights fight team is bantamweight Lawrence Aytman (0-0) and a pair of youth competitors Valentino Esparza (0-0) and Joseph Madrid (0-0). Aytman draws Bakersfield’s Holt Felkins (1-0). Meanwhile, Esparza takes on Selma 85-pounder Jace Luchau (1-0) and Joseph Madrid meets Oakhurst 140-pounder P.J. Reyna (1-0).

Youth competitors are required to wear headgear and certain ages must also use shin guards. Youth athletes also compete under modified MMA rules, which differ from the amateur MMA rules. In youth bouts, competitors can’t strike to the face and also certain submissions are not allowed.

“We have had several youth bouts on our fight cards and all have come without incident. We will continue to raise awareness for the sport and give the younger age groups a place to compete,” Luchau said.

Undefeated Alberto Arreola plans on making his final appearance into the 559 Fights cage on December 8. The Lemoore lightweight has amassed a 6-0 record since debuting in April and plans to move into the professional ranks in 2013 following his bout with Madera’s Chris Huerta (3-3).

“It’s been a long time coming for Arreola, who essentially took his first fight on a few weeks notice with limited MMA experience. It’s been a pleasure having him fight on our cards and he has become one of the fan favorites,” Luchau said.

Also highlighting the card is a welterweight showdown between Fresno’s Evan Solorio (1-1) vs. Porterville’s Michael Pinon (1-0) and a light heavyweight bout pitting Lemoore’s Anthony Martinez (2-1) vs. Salinas’ Jonathan Hughes (1-0).

“Fight fans in the Valley have been waiting for Solorio to come back and fight for some time. He lost fought at Tachi and was very impressive. Solorio takes on a heavy-handed Michael Pinon, who had a highlight reel knockout in his debut in Tulare,” Luchau said. “People have been also waiting to see the return of Anthony Martinez, who I think is another young prospect to keep an eye on.”

Doors open at 6 p.m. and fights start at 7 p.m.
