King of the Cage “Future Legends 10” Edgewater Casino, Laughlin, Nevada 10-20-12

(PRESS RELEASE) -- King of the Cage, Inc. and Magnaflow Exhaust
products presents “Future Legends 10”, Saturday October 20, 2012 at
the Edgewater Casino located in Laughlin Nevada. The Future Legends
Series is a stage for those fighters who have the potential to
become a legend in the sport. With our main event we intend to
perpetuate that philosophy by bringing in some very heavy hitters
as in 4-0 Jonathon Wilson; who premiered his talents at our last
event in Laughlin August 18th where his heavy hands demolished his
12-5 opponent in the very first round. His opponent this time,
Jered
Lowe "The Rocky Mountain Mauler"; a Marine stationed at Camp
Pendleton, competed in the first Future Legends event and is coming
back with his now undeated 5-0 record to shake out who is the best
in this light heavyweight division.
Also on this card we have another fight between two undeated and possible future legends in the sport; 4-0 Shannon McKenzie vs 3-0 Jose Lopez. Shannon is a stand up fighter that is tough as nails and likes to brawl and leave it all... right there in the cage. Jose Lopez is a very aggressive fighter with great submissions and ground defense but can also stand and bang and take the pain. This will be one of the fights of the night that is sure to end in a knock out!
We are bringing back Shannon Reid, a fem fighter who was intended
to fight at Future Legends 9 but her opponent failed to show at the
weigh ins... I guess she took one look at Shannon and decided to
retire. Shannon is a very durable woman who takes this second
opportunity as a sign of great things to come for her in the sport.
She trains exclusively with men and hits harder and fights stronger
because of it. Her opponent Julia Avila
fights out of a very tough camp, Eric Nolan's Bakersfield Jiu Jitsu
and trains with the likes of Brian Cobb and
Brian Travers.
Sam Hess returns after wins over his last two opponents with a head kick and uppercut to chin, both which KO's his opponents. He faces off with Justin Hernandez, an equally tough stand up fighter with an ability to fight from his back if need be. This is a guy who's not afraid to step up and take the tough fights. These two fighters have developed a friendship outside of the cage but are putting their friendship aside as they further their careers.
The undercard on this event is as impressive as the rest as we bring back a few fighters who have shown great skill and heart in our cage. George Wright, a strong 155er who has a lot of strength and ability both on the ground and standing and just won the recent Naga Championships in Las Vegas. He meets KOTC Veteran Ken Rose who's coming off his debut fight looking very capable and dangerous since he tore through that opponent like a caged animal.
Others on the card will be Raul Hernandez, Cory Hall, Kyle Stewart, Nick Phrakonekhom, Ray Jaurequi, Arthur Powell, Spencer Spiker, LJ Torres, Pete Schafer, Jonathon Noriega, JJ Torres, Marco Lopez, Antonio Sanchez, Jose Gonzales, Anthony Schifflet, Jackson Doan, Damian Munoz, Heath Hampton, Dennis Parker, Arsenial Jones, Kurt Dawson, Sigifredo Garcia, Gerald Harvey, Anthony Fike, Ronnie Moore, Nathan Mendoza, Raul Hernandez, Carlos Nunez, Christian Cardona, Chris Salazar, Ernesto Alcala, Eddie Guierrmo, Abraham Colonel and Jeffery Mendoza.
