Jungle Fight #65 is the main attraction in one of the biggest festivals in Bahia, Brazil.

(PRESS RELEASE) -- After stirring the city of Campos (RJ), Jungle Fight #65 prepares to invade Madre de Deus, in Bahia. The event, organized by former fighter Wallid Ismail, will be the main attraction of Feb. 2, Madre de Verão Festival ( http://madreverao.com.br/2014/ ), which heats up the city with cultural , sports and music shows. The Festival takes place between January 10th and February 15th. The fights will be held in a mobile arena, in the city centre, expected to start 8:30pm.

This will be the first time Jungle Fight holds an event in Bahia. Therefore, the organizers prepared a special card. In the main event of the evening, Thiago Trator from Amapá defends the belt of the lightweights ( 70kg ) against Ary Santos , from Campos de Goytacazes . Another highlight of the event is Junior Pride and Kléber Pride, brother, who face Michel “Demolidor" and Wendres “Godzilla ", respectively. Former champion lightweights Lucius Curado, protégé of former world boxing champion Acelino Popo , also returns to the cage against Alexander Cidade, pupil of UFC fighter Thiago Tavares.

Considered as one of the great movers of the growth of MMA in Brazil, Wallid Ismail spoke about the importance of holding the organization’s 65th event in Madre de Deus, and of taking the “fastest growing sport in the world" to Bahia. Madre de Deus is located about 60 km from Salvador, the capital of the State.

"We are very happy to go to Madre de Deus as location for our first event in Bahia. Hopefully the arrival of Jungle Fight will encourage further practice of MMA in Madre de Deus and in every state. This initiative is very important to show the strength and the importance of our sport and our event, which is the largest in Latin America"; said Wallid Ismail, president of Jungle Fight.

Jungle Fight #65 will be broadcasted, live and in full throughout Brazil, through Combate and SporTV channels. Fans in the United States and Mexico can also watch the event on ESPNDeportes and ESPN3. Another option is the via the website, www.combate.com, which will stream live the first two fights of the event.
