James Gallagher won his first fight at BAMMA

(PRESS RELEASE) – Ireland's hottest MMA prospect has set his sight on following Conor McGregor's path to the top and he's certainly on the right track. Ever since joining Bahrain’s renowned KHK MMA team, Gallagher has bagged a world title and three professional wins in less than 8 months.

On Saturday (Feb. 27, 2016), KHK's James Gallagher A.K.A Strabanimal (3-0) went to war at BAMMA 24 inside the 3Arena, Dublin , Leinster , Ireland . In a dominant display of grappling, James Easily earned a first round win in his promotional debut.

Gallagher (3-0) took Gerard Gilmore (2-2) down, outworked him as he smoothly transitioned to his back. He then sunk the rear naked choke and squeezed for the finish forcing the tap at 2.55 minutes into the first round.

" ...There's no dominant way like taking someone down , getting on top where he can't hit me , but i can hit him , finish him with a submission and come out fresh.. "

This marked Gallagher's 3rd professional win, all coming by way of submission in the first stanza. With Shaikh Khalid Bin Hamad’s Al Khalifa incomparable support for KHK MMA fighters along with training at SBG with world class fighters under John Kavanagh, it’s a matter of time before this young prospect is thrust into the sport's spotlight.
