Fighters Only announces the 2011 World Mixed Martial Arts Awards

(PRESS RELEASE) -- Fighters Only, the world’s leading Mixed Martial
Arts (MMA) magazine, confirmed the launch of its fourth annual
awards today. Devised to celebrate success and achievement within
the MMA industry, the World Mixed Martial Arts Awards gives fans
across the globe the opportunity to cast their vote on which
athletes, brands, and industry professionals have made the greatest
impact on the sport in the last 12 months. Voting is now open
across 22 different award categories including: Fighter of the
Year, Knockout of the Year, and Submission of the Year. While an
additional Lifetime Achievement award will also be presented during
the live ceremony to a surprise recipient.
“The last 12 months have flown by but not without producing some of the most exciting moments ever witnessed within the sport of MMA,” says Rob Hewitt, President and CEO of Fighters Only. “This year's award categories will be more hotly contested than ever and as always we rely on the fans to cast their vote on who should emerge as the winners. Since last year's event we have injected two new awards, which came out on top from a selection suggested directly to us via readers feedback. In addition, the nomination process this year was composed via an expert panel formed by all of Fighters Only's international editors along with a selection of guest panelists. The support the awards facility has received over the last three years has been phenomenal and we expect this year's show to be even more popular with increased fan participation.”

of MMA take to the red carpet. And the Fighters Only World MMA
Awards is all set to return even bigger and better this year with a
live ceremony to be held on Wednesday, November 30th 2011 in the
exclusive Pearl Concert Theatre inside the Palms Casino Resort in
Las Vegas. This black-tie event will be sponsored by
