Boy LIVE! series this Friday, Feb. 5 at 10 p.m. ET, emanating from
Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio, Calif.
Airing live exclusively in Canada, the main event sees hometown hero and former IBF bantamweight champion Randy “El Matador” Caballero (22-0, 13 KOs) making his grand return to the ring in a 10-round super bantamweight bout against Ruben Garcia (15-1-1, 6 KOs).
In the co-headliner, East Los Angeles’ undefeated welterweight
Frankie “Pitbull” Gomez (19-0, 13 KOs) will face off against former
IBA super lightweight champion Silverio Ortiz (29-16, 15 KOs). Plus
San Antonio’s rising super featherweight Hector “El Finito”
Tanajara Jr. (4-0, 3 KOs) will fight in his first six-rounder
against the undefeated Clay Burns
(3-0-1, 3 KOs).
Live combat sports action continues into the weekend as on Saturday, Feb. 6, Fight Network will televise the live UFC Fight Night™: Hendricks vs. Thompson prelims at 8 p.m. ET.
In featured prelim action, 35-year-old welterweight veteran Josh Burkman (28-12, 1NC) throws down with Hawaiian karate specialist K.J. Noons (12-7, 1NC). Meanwhile, menacing knockout artist Derrick Lewis (13-4, 1NC) welcomes Polish standout Damian Grabowski (20-2) to the UFC’s heavyweight division, fast-rising flyweight contender Ray Borg (9-1) battles fellow top prospect Justin Scoggins (10-2) and Israeli sensation Noah Lahat (9-1) takes on undefeated Chilean up-and-comer Diego Rivas (6-0) in an international featherweight showdown.
