Former Bellator bantamweight champion Zach Makovsky is the newest addition to the UFC flyweight roster.
UFC officials Wednesday announced that “Fun Size” will square off with Scott Jorgensen, replacing the injured John Dodson at UFC on Fox 9.

Prior to the main-card telecast, the preliminary card airs live on Fox Sports 1 and Facebook, highlighted by Jorgensen’s clash with Makovsky and a lightweight duel pitting Edson Barboza against Danny Castillo.
Makovsky, 31, has gone 2-0 since departing Bellator on the heels of back-to-back defeats to Eduardo Dantas and Anthony Leone. Makovsky last competed Nov. 22, when he outpointed Matt Manzanares to captured the vacant Resurrection Fighting Alliance flyweight belt at RFA 11.
Also 31, Jorgensen will make his flyweight debut following three losses in his last four outings at 135 pounds. A former World Extreme Cagefighting bantamweight title contender, “Young Guns” most recently fought in April, submitting to a rear-naked choke applied by Faber.
